1.      Commissioning of cross cutter As21,
Board factory Umka near Belgrade

Project, supervision and commissioning in 2013. Complete replacement of electrical equipment is performed at the cutter facility, which was operated in the factory. Main technical characteristics of the cross cutter are:

• Width of the board web upto 2150 mm

• Maximum speed of the web 300 m/min (originally 250 m/min)

• Cutting length from 600 – 2000 mm

• Material, which is manufactured - board, from 150 – 500 g/m2

Controlled induction machine drives supplied from frequency converters with speed synchronization for achieving required accuracy:

• The accuracy of cutting length during the operation with constant, as well as variable speed:

• ± 1,0 mm to 1000 mm of the format length

• ± 1,0 ‰ for formats longer than 1000 mm

• Continual speed adjustment of the board web from 10 m/min to maximum speed.

Technological process control is realized with the programmable logic controller CPU 317-2DP, Siemens PLC serie S7-300. One KP1200 and two KP400 panels, frequency converter Danfoss, serie FC 300 and three absolute encoders are connected with PROFIBUS network.

The system for web tension control of the board is realized, which enables transition to next roll without discontinuity in cross cutter operation.

2.      Commissioning of cross cutter As28,

Cross cutting of a board web is performed with the cross cutter while rewinding from the roll. Cutting is performed into aforehand defined lengths during continuous motion of the board web. Cut pieces are sorted into a palette at the cutter's exit.

Project, supervision and commissioning at the end of 2010 and at the beginning of 2011. The cross cutter facility is moved from the factory in Cazina (Boznia and Herzegovina), installed and commissioned with completely new electrical equipment.

Main technical characteristics of the cross cutter are:

• Width of the board web upto 2400 mm

• Maximum speed of the web 250 m/min

• Cutting length from 600 – 2000 mm

• Material, which is manufactured - board, from 150 – 500 g/m2

3.      New Drives for coating section of the board machine in Board factory „UMKA”

Project, supervision and commissioning 2007. Three controlled drives with induction motors fed from frequency converters. Drives are operating with speed feedback, which is determined with the use of incremental encoder. Process control is performed with the use of programmable logic controller, through PROFIBUS, with provided load distribution between drives. The existing control structure based on the Siemens PLC series 300, is extended with the control algorithm for three new drives. Frequency converters Danfoss, series VLT 5000.

4.      New drive for surface rewinder,
     Board factory Umka near Belgrade

Project, supervision and commissioning at the end of 2005 and at the beginning of 2006. Three controlled drives with induction motors fed from frequency converters in elastic coupling through material – board belt. Drives are operating in very complex technological dependency of speed control on the higher level board tension control while rewinding, with the control of rewinded roll hardness in the function of diameter, at the same time. While rewinding, axial board cutting is performed. Technological process control is performed with the use of programmable logic controller, through PROFIBUS protocol. Due to load distribution between the unwinder drive, which operates in the generator mode of operation, and winder drives (which operate in motor mode of operation), significant energy savings are accomplished. PLC Siemens series 300, graphical control panel OP270B, frequency converters Danfoss, series VLT 5000 FLUX. Total installed motors power 715kW.

5.      New drive for former section of board machine

Project, supervision and commissioning at the end of 2005 and at the beginning of 2006. Eleven controlled drives with induction motors fed from frequency converters in elastic coupling through the felt of board machine. Drives are operating with speed feedback, which is determined with the use of incremental encoder. Process control is performed with the use of programmable logic controller, through PROFIBUS, with provided load distribution between drives. PLC Siemens series 300, graphical control panel OP270B, frequency converters Danfoss, series VLT 5000. Total installed motors power 318kW.

6.      New electrical drive concepts for board and paper machines,

7.      Project and realization of the drive for paper machine in
     Paper factory „Papirpak” Čačak, 2002.

Drive and control system of new paper machine for tissue-paper production; control of paper machine is realized from the control board, with the use of operator panel; supervision and diagnostics of drive is realized with PLC; communication of frequency converters and PLC is realized through PROFIBUS protocol; applied equipment: frequency converters DANFOSS series VLT 5000, PLC SIEMENS Simatic S7-300, Čačak 2003. 8.      Drive and control system of coating section of board machine in Board factory „UMKA”.

Realization (project, supervision, commissioning) in 2002. System control is realized through distributed panels for each drive separately; communication between frequency converters and PLC through PROFIBUS protocol, 29 nodes, 29 operator panels, Belgrade, 2002.Photos.

9.      Reconstruction of electrical drive of board machine in the Board factory „UMKA”,

Project, supervision and commissioning in 2001. On board machine of 200 tones per day production capacity, instead of existing line shaft drive of one of its parts, 12 drives with induction motors and frequency converters are applied. The whole installed power is 460kW. Drives are between themselves synchronized through PROFIBUS. Synchronization with existing controlled DC drives, before and after the reconstructed part, is realized with adequate analog modules. Control of new drives is from operator panels, and with PLC. 10.  Reconstruction of drying section of board machine in Board factory „UMKA”,

Project, supervision and commissioning in 2001. Control of new drives is performed using operator panels and PLC. Applied equipment is: frequency converters DANFOSS series VLT 5000, PLC Siemens Simatic S7-300.

11.  Reconstruction of winder drive control in Board factory „UMKA”,

Project and realization in 2001. On winder with maximal speed of 800m/min, with roll diameter 2m and width 4m, control of winder drives is reconstructed in order to provide correct roll formation in the function of diameter growth. Photos.  

12.  Reconstruction of paper machine drive in the Paper factory „Komuna” Skoplje.

Project, supervision and commissioning in 2001. In order to revitalize and expand the capacity of paper machine, existing line shaft drive is replaced with 6 drives with induction motors and frequency converters. The total installed power is 206.5kW. Control of drives is realized with PLC. The applied equipment is: frequency converters DANFOSS series VLT 5000, PLC SIEMENS Simatic S7-200.Photos.  

13.  Reconstruction of flying shear drive AS21 in the Board factory „UMKA”.

Project, supervision and commissioning in 2000. The existing one-motor line shaft drive of flying shear (maximal speed 250m/min, belt width 2,1m ), is replaced with 6 drives with induction motors and frequency converters, of 89kW total power. In order to provide required cutting accuracy (less than 1 o/oo), in the case of first two drives, press drive and shear drive, very high accuracy of speed synchronization must be achieved in all operating conditions. The drive is realized with frequency converters DANFOSS series VLT5000. For the synchronization of first two drives, DANFOSS Sync-Pos module was used. Format control is realized with PC and RS232 interface, using specially developed application software. Photos.

14.  Reconstruction of paper machine drive in the Paper factory „Papirpak” Čačak.

Project, supervision and commissioning in 2000. In order to revitalize and expand the capacity of paper machine, existing line shaft drive is replaced with 5 drives with induction motors and frequency converters. The total installed power is 144.5kW. Control of drives is realized with PLC. The applied equipment is: frequency converters DANFOSS series VLT 5000, PLC SIEMENS Simatic S7-200. Photos.

15.  Reconstruction of flying shear drive AS16 in the Board factory „UMKA”.

Project, supervision and commissioning in 1999. The existing one-motor line shaft drive of flying shear (maximal speed 250m/min, belt width 1,6m ), is replaced with 7 drives with induction motors and frequency converters, of 90kW total power. In order to provide required cutting accuracy (less than 1 o/oo), in the case of first two drives, press drive and shear drive, very high accuracy of speed synchronization must be achieved in all operating conditions. The drive is realized with frequency converters DANFOSS series VLT5000. For the synchronization of first two drives, DANFOSS Sync-Pos module was used. Format control is realized with PC and RS232 interface, using specially developed application software. Photos.
